How Old is 17? Bills Would Stop Automatic Adult Prosecution of 17-Year-Old Offenders


Michigan 17-year-olds would stop automatically being prosecuted as adults under bipartisan legislation rolled out with broad support on Tuesday. Michigan is one of only nine states with this law still on the books. The 21-bill package would raise the age of juvenile jurisdiction from 17 to 18. Read more about this here.
